SALAAR FULL MOVIE-FULL ACTION MOVIE-Prabhas & Shruti Haasan - South Indian Hindi
Not to offend anyone, I just wanted to know why Salaar is considered great? I watched it only recently due to the posts made here but did not like it. Just wanted to know different perspectives.
One of the main reasons I didn't like the movie was that I was able to predict every bit of the story, except for that one scene where Prabhas's mom gets scared of him cutting a cake with a plastic knife. This wouldn't be a problem if the movie hadn't built up these things so much. The character gave too much build-up for things that, in the end, weren’t worth it.
I didn't feel the child actors did justice to their roles. The lore was just exposition, one after the other. Khansar was just a montage of random cities from all over the world. I believe in the show, don’t tell philosophy—even in books. So, imagine my frustration when the movie glossed over important lore with just a few seconds of reel-like segments. It would be fine if the movie did it once or twice, but it happened multiple times.
I would’ve understood if the movie took itself a little less seriously, but it took itself way too seriously for me to forgive any of this. I get that the story isn't complete—I'm waiting for Part 2 to change my mind, since I can’t fully judge the story until it’s complete. This is how the movie made me feel. Let me know if there are things I am missing, or did I looked at things in the wrong way. Since a lot of people consider this movie great, I wanted to discuss different perspectives.
